Sponsor the run for Nghia

Nghia was a fantastic father and he gave so much to his children.
Now that Nghia can't give all that he would want, we are raising money to support his children, Phibi, Tom and Dan.
A group of Nghia's friends are running the Melbourne marathon in memory of him and would like you to sponsor their effort. We hope that this money will make it easier for the childrens future education.

Run for Nghia

Over the last few years, Nghia had become very interested in improving his physical fitness.

His improvements in fitness culminated in him running the 2014 Melbourne Marathon with his friend Huy. After this achievement, he wanted to improve further and run the 2015 marathon in a faster time. He asked several of his friends to run with him in 2015 Melbourne Marathon. Some of his friends have now decided to run the marathon in his honor and would like to raise money to help his children.

Through this website and through the runners involved we hope to raise money to help Nghia's children, Phibi, Tom and Dan. We want them to acheive their fullest potential despite this tragic loss.

Run for Nghia - Report from the big day

The Melbourne marathon was run on the 18th October. All Run for Nghia starters managed to complete their events with 10 marathon runners, 5 half marathons, and a 10km. It was a huge effort by all the runners and all the people who helped to support us. After the Run we were joined by Huong, Phibi, Tom, Dan and supporters for a BBQ on the banks of the Yarra in perfect conditions. Over the coming days i will update this page with Photo's from the day.

The strava Club will continue and we might see a few people logging some very slow, sore recovery runs over the coming days and weeks.Run for Nghia. You can follow the link to see the club on strava and join to do the few runs for Nghia yourself.
